Caleb Martin
Caleb Martin scores 10 points in Game 5 blowout
Wed, May 1, 2024, 4:00 PM
Caleb Martin played 36 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Celtics, tallying 10 points (4-of-9 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), four rebounds, one assist, and one 3-pointer.
Analysis: Martin reached double figures in three of the series' five games, including a 21-point performance in Miami's Game 2 victory. But the inconsistency meant he wasn't a reliable option for DFS players, mirroring his season-long fantasy value. Martin was a late-round pick, at best, in most fantasy leagues before the season began, and his production bore that out. He finished the regular season ranked outside the top 200 in 9-cat formats and offers a significantly lower fantasy ceiling than Jaime Jaquez Jr. There's little reason to plan on selecting Martin in drafts next fall. Still, there will be times when he's worth the streaming risk.
Nikola Jovic
Nikola Jovic records 8/7/4 line in Game 5 loss
Wed, May 1, 2024, 3:59 PM
Nikola Jovic accounted for eight points (3-of-7 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, and four assists in 27 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Celtics.
Analysis: After reaching double figures in each of the series' first three games, Jovic faltered in Games 4 and 5. That was the tale of his season, with the second-year forward failing to provide consistent production. It has been said that Miami likes Jovic's potential, but that didn't always result in extended minutes this season. He averaged just 19.5 minutes per game in 46 appearances this season, ranking outside the top 250 regarding fantasy value. Unless the Heat were to make drastic changes to their roster, Jovic isn't a player who should be selected in most leagues. However, he could offer streaming potential at points during the season.
Tyler Herro
Tyler Herro scores inefficient 15 points in rout
Wed, May 1, 2024, 3:57 PM
Tyler Herro shot 6-of-19 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday's Game 5 loss to the Celtics, recording a line of 15 points, three rebounds, three assists, and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.
Analysis: Miami was without Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. for Game 5, putting even more pressure on Herro to perform with the team's season on the line. He struggled, as many guards do when dealing with Jrue Holiday. While he established new career-highs in points (20.8 per game), assists (4.5), and 3-pointers (3.1), injuries limited Herro's fantasy value. Beginning the season with a Yahoo ADP of 68.9, he finished the regular season ranked just inside the top 90 in 9-cat, per-game value, according to Basketball Monster. If Herro can play 65-plus games, as he did during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, he's capable of approaching top-60 fantasy value. He'll be worth selecting in the 6th round of standard league drafts, depending on potential changes to the Heat roster.
Bam Adebayo
Bam Adebayo finishes Game 5 loss with 23 points
Wed, May 1, 2024, 3:56 PM
Bam Adebayo played 36 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Celtics, accounting for 23 points (10-of-26 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer.
Analysis: For the second straight game, Adebayo hit a 3-pointer. As was the case in Game 4, it did not matter, as the Heat were eliminated from the playoffs in blowout fashion. Bam led the team in points and assists but was inefficient as a scorer. Given how shorthanded Miami was, they needed a near-perfect game from the available players to have a shot. That didn't happen, so attention now turns to the offseason. Adebayo entered the season with a Yahoo ADP of 32.7, and while the availability was there (70 games played), the production dipped slightly. The three-time All-Star averaged one point less per game compared to the 2022-23 campaign, and Bam also experienced decreases in field goal and free throw percentages. While he finished this season ranked outside the top 50, Adebayo will remain a safe 3rd-round pick in standard league drafts in the fall.
Delon Wright
MIA starting Wright, Herro, Martin, Jovic, Adebayo
Wed, May 1, 2024, 1:05 PM
Miami Heat on Twitter
Delon Wright, Tyler Herro, Caleb Martin, Nikola Jovic, and Bam Adebayo will start Wednesday's game against the Celtics.
Analysis: Another injury has forced Miami to change its starting lineup, with Jaime Jaquez Jr. (hip) joining Terry Rozier (neck) and Jimmy Butler (knee) on the sideline. As a result, Wright moves into the starting lineup for Game 5 as the Heat look to keep their season alive. He's worth a look in DFS tournaments due to his low price tag, but players should not expect too much production-wise.
Terry Rozier
Terry Rozier (neck) ruled out for Game 5 Wednesday

Chris Haynes on Twitter
Terry Rozier (neck spasms) is out for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.
Analysis: Facing elimination, the Heat will be without three key rotation pieces in Boston. Rozier and Jimmy Butler (knee) remain sidelined, with Jaime Jaquez Jr. (hip) joining them on the sideline after injuring his hip during Monday's Game 4 defeat. Caleb Martin will remain in the starting lineup, while Tyler Herro will continue to shoulder a heavy workload. Also, Jaquez joining the list of injured players may result in more rotation minutes for Patty Mills.
Jaime Jaquez
Jaime Jaquez Jr. (hip) out for Game 5 on Wednesday
Tue, Apr 30, 2024, 9:29 AM
Chris Haynes on Twitter
Jaime Jaquez Jr. (right hip flexor strain) is out for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.
Analysis: Already playing without Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, the last thing Miami needed was another injury. Jaquez injured his hip during Monday's Game 4 defeat, limiting the rookie to 22 minutes. He will not play in what could be the Heat's final game of the season, with Jaquez's absence freeing up a spot in the starting lineup. Delon Wright, Haywood Highsmith, and Duncan Robinson (who's dealing with left facet syndrome) are all available to absorb the minutes that would usually go to Jaquez.
Caleb Martin
Caleb Martin contributes 18/5/2/2 line in loss
Mon, Apr 29, 2024, 5:04 PM
Caleb Martin turned in a solid stat line on Monday with 18 points (6-of-14 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, two steals and four 3-pointers against the Celtics.
Analysis: Martin had a solid second half, as he scored 13 of his 18 points after the break. He bounced back after only scoring five points in their last game, which came after he dropped 21 points in the Game 2 win. Martin has had to play big minutes in this series with Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier out, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. may join them on the sidelines for their next game after he injured his hip in this one. Martin should continue to contribute decent numbers, but that shouldn't make him a player to target in fantasy drafts next year.
Bam Adebayo
Bam Adebayo puts up 25/17/5, Heat go down 3-1
Mon, Apr 29, 2024, 4:56 PM
Bam Adebayo led Miami with 25 points (11-of-22 FGs), 17 rebounds, five assists and one triple in a 102-88 loss to Boston in Game 4 on Monday.
Analysis: Bam had an excellent game, but it didn't end up being enough for the Heat to defend their home court and tie the series up. Adebayo has had an impressive series, averaging 22.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. However, without Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, they haven't been able to put up much of a fight, aside from their Game 2 upset win in Boston. Expect another big game from Bam in Game 5, but it probably won't make much of a difference in this series. The Heat simply haven't been healthy enough to truly compete against a loaded Celtics team.
Jaime Jaquez
Jaime Jaquez Jr. injures hip in Game 4 loss
Mon, Apr 29, 2024, 4:47 PM
Barry Jackson on X
Jaime Jaquez Jr. (right hip) contributed nine points (4-of-10 FGs), two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 22 minutes against Boston on Monday.
Analysis: Jaquez said that he “felt something give” while going up for a rebound. Erik Spoelstra said that they will find out more on Tuesday, so hopefully there will be a clearer indication of his status for Game 5 on Wednesday. Miami has been playing without Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, so losing Jaquez Jr. would likely mean more minutes for Delon Wright and Haywood Highsmith. #HeatCulture isn't going down without a fight, but if they're down another starter, it will be difficult for them to extend the series in Boston.
Delon Wright
Delon Wright (personal) available Monday
Mon, Apr 29, 2024, 6:58 AM
NBA Injury Report
Delon Wright (personal reasons) is available for Monday's matchup with Miami.
Analysis: Wright sat out Game 3, but he'll be back in action after just one game on the sidelines. Expect him to handle a typical workload in Game 4.
Delon Wright
Delon Wright (personal) probable for Game 4 Monday

Anthony Chiang on Twitter
Delon Wright (personal reasons) is probable for Monday's game against the Celtics.
Analysis: Wright is expected to play after missing Saturday's Game 3 defeat. With Terry Rozier (neck) sidelined, he should approach 20 minutes if cleared for Monday's contest.
Terry Rozier
Terry Rozier (neck) ruled out for Game 4 Monday
Sun, Apr 28, 2024, 7:27 AM
Anthony Chiang on Twitter
Terry Rozier (neck spasms) is out for Monday's game against the Celtics.
Analysis: Rozier remains sidelined for another game, meaning Jaime Jaquez Jr. will continue to start alongside Tyler Herro. The rookie wing is worth slotting into DFS lineups for Monday's slate. Also, Delon Wright should play more minutes off the bench.
Nikola Jovic
Nikola Jovic tallies 15 points, full stat line
Sat, Apr 27, 2024, 2:28 PM
Nikola Jovic accumulated 15 points (5-of-11 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block, and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes in Saturday's Game 3 loss to the Celtics.
Analysis: With Jimmy Butler sidelined, Jovic has been asked to provide more production and answered the call. The second-year forward recorded a full stat line for the second consecutive game, shooting 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Also noteworthy for Jovic in Game 3 was the playing time, as he logged 34 minutes after accounting for 26 and 26 in the series' first two games. Duncan Robinson, who has been dealing with left facet syndrome, only playing seven minutes had a lot to do with that. Also taking on an enhanced role during this series has been Jaime Jaquez Jr., who finished Game 3 with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, and one blocked shot in 34 minutes. He and Jovic must step forward in Game 4 on Monday night, as the Heat trail two games to one.
Bam Adebayo
Bam Adebayo leads Heat with 20 points in Game 3
Sat, Apr 27, 2024, 2:22 PM
Bam Adebayo played 39 minutes in Saturday's 104-84 loss to the Celtics, amassing 20 points (8-of-18 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, and three assists.
Analysis: Adebayo was the most productive of Miami's five starters, reaching the 20-point mark for the third time in this series. However, he has yet to record a steal or blocked shot, which is surprising for a player accepted as one of the NBA's best defenders, regardless of position. In three regular-season meetings between the Heat and Celtics, Adebayo averaged 1.3 steals and 1.7 blocked shots. Miami will need more than points and rebounds from its All-Star center if they're to even the series at two games apiece on Monday.
Tyler Herro
Tyler Herro struggles, finishes with 15 points
Sat, Apr 27, 2024, 2:15 PM
Tyler Herro shot 5-of-16 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Saturday's Game 3 loss to the Celtics, accounting for 15 points, two rebounds, two assists, and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.
Analysis: The road team has recently dominated the Celtics/Heat series, and Saturday was no exception. After going off in Miami's Game 2 victory, Herro was held in check, shooting 2-of-7 from two and finishing with nearly as many turnovers (four) as made baskets (five). The Head didn't get much from Caleb Martin, either, as he finished with five points, three rebounds, two assists, and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes. Miami will need more production from Herro and Martin if they're to win Game 4, which is on Monday night.
Delon Wright
Delon Wright (personal) ruled out for Game 3
Sat, Apr 27, 2024, 8:15 AM
Ira Winderman on X
Delon Wright (personal reasons) will not play in Game 3 against the Celtics on Saturday.
Analysis: Wright has officially been ruled out after initially being listed as questionable for this game. That should result in minutes off the bench for Patty Mills, though Tyler Herro will continue to play most of the minutes at point guard.
Haywood Highsmith
Haywood Highsmith (arm) available for Game 3 Sat.
Sat, Apr 27, 2024, 5:27 AM
NBA Injury Report
Haywood Highsmith (left upper arm contusion) is available for Saturday's game against Boston.
Analysis: Highsmith has played 26 minutes in each of the first two games of this series, which will be his likely workload for Game 3. He's capable of providing a few 3-pointers and some rebounds, but that isn't enough to merit being slotted into most DFS lineups.
Kevin Love
Kevin Love (arm) available for Game 3 Saturday
Sat, Apr 27, 2024, 5:25 AM
NBA Injury Report
Kevin Love (left upper arm contusion) is available for Saturday's game against Boston.
Analysis: Love was initially probable for Game 3, so the status upgrade is unsurprising. He'll provide frontcourt depth off the bench but is unlikely to be productive enough to merit being rostered in DFS lineups.
Delon Wright
Delon Wright (personal) questionable for Game 3
Sat, Apr 27, 2024, 5:22 AM
NBA Injury Report
Delon Wright (personal reasons) is questionable for Saturday's Game 3 against Boston.
Analysis: With Terry Rozier (neck) sidelined, Wright has figured more prominently within the Heat rotation than many anticipated. After scoring 17 points in a Game 1 loss to the Celtics, he logged 20 minutes in Game 2 despite not having much of an impact from a statistical standpoint. Rozier is already out, so losing Wright would put the Heat in a problematic spot regarding bench depth.
